Abstrakt: The kinetics of the dehydration of lithium sulphate monohydrate were investigated by thermogravimetry, differential scanning calorimetry and temperature-resolved X-ray powder diffractometry. The results suggest a nucleation and growth mechanism. The activation parameters depend strongly on the experimental conditions. Prereactional phenomena were detected by X-ray diffractometry.
