Abstrakt: The daily monitoring (8:00–10:00 a.m.) of clinical and laboratory variables in humans and animals exposed to the action of extreme factors (myocardial infarction, operative intervention, immobilization stress, hypothermia, model of acute turpentine inflammation) showed that the value trends in the dynamics of the adaptation process have the character of damping fluctuations with a period of 48 h. Published data are cited, and the question as to the existence of this endogenous biological rhythm in the acute period of adaptation to stressors and its possible mechanism is discussed.
