The article discusses the court case Moulton Contracting Ltd. v. British Columbia (BC) et al. Plaintiff brought action for economic losses when it failed to access a logging area due to a blockade set up by members of First Nelson First Nation. Plaintiff obtained the right to log the land through two Timber Sales Licences granted by the Province of British Columbia. The BC Supreme Court ruled that the Province is liable to plaintiff for damages but dismissed claims against other defendants. |
