The article focuses on the restoration by The Abbotsford Trust chief executive Jason Dyer of novelist and playwright Sir Walter Scott's Abbotsford building in Scotland. Topics discussed include the construction of the building in 1818 with William Atkinson the architect, the decline in the number of visitors to the building and the amount required to restore the building.
