The article discusses the history of the Green Bay, Wisconsin, Symphony Orchestra (GBSO). According to the article, the Green Bay Symphony Orchestra was first organized in 1914 under the direction of Green Bay music teacher Alex Enna. It describes the leadership of orchestra conductor Walter Larsen, the formal incorporation of the symphony orchestra in 1955, and the directorship of Czech musician Miroslav Pansky. The article also discusses the establishment of the venue the Weidner Center for the Performing Arts at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay. |
