Abstrakt:	The article offers information on placentitis in equine which is an inflammation of placenta, causing the placental tissue to thicken and decreases efficiency of nutrient and oxygen delivery to foal. Topics discussed include the occurrence, causes, and indications of placentitis. It also mentions the treatment of placentitis which includes decreasing the inflammatory response, combating the infection, and combining anti-inflammatory, antibiotic, and supplemental progesterone.
