An interview with glaucoma specialists Hylton R. Mayer and Alan L. Robin is presented. Mayer notes that both tube shunt and trabeculectomy are good options for intraocular pressure (IOP) reduction. He explains that mini-shunt allows for more controlled experience in intraoperative care. Robin thinks that mini-shunt therapy iStent can be a replacement for eyedrops. |
