The article discusses the Reading Rangers (RR) curriculum, which is designed for third grade children in urban schools. It says that the goals of the curriculum are to teach strategies of reading comprehension such as visualizing and making inferences, and teach literature concepts including literature, genre, and fiction. It mentions the three central learning principles which were relied on the RR curriculum development such as learning in multiple contexts and domain-based learning. |
