An Automated Fret Slotting Machine.

Abstrakt: The article discusses a project to build an automated machine for cutting fret slots in stringed instruments. Under this project, an Allen Bradley Micrologix 1100 Programmable Logic Controller was used for the machine. According to the author, selecting a compatible motor for a Stewart-MacDonald 6" fret-saw blade was the most difficult part of the project. The automated machine was also equipped with human/machine interface (HMI) panel.
