Abstrakt: |
The article discusses the effects of group composition with regards to encounter groups. It mentions a study by I. D. Yalom which noted three theories on group composition which include social microcosm theory, dissonance theory and cohesion theory. The researchers added the interpersonal attraction theory which focuses on the relative efficacy of the dissonance and the cohesion theory. The study was conducted using three conditions such as the tape-recorded treatment, placebo, and the control. |
