The article discusses a study by Robert N. Hoover, of National Cancer Institute DES Follow-up Study, which revealed devastating effects of Diethylstilbestrol (DES), given as an anti miscarriage drug to pregnant women during 1938-1971. It mentions that suspects of DES exposure must research their medical history. A court ruling in January 2012, Boston, which ordered drug settlements to 53 DES daughters who claimed the linkage of their breast cancers to prenatal DES exposure, is also included. |
