Abstrakt: The authors discuss the 2011 edition of the Corruption Perceptions Index (CPI) published by Transparency International (TI) after the release of the Bribe Payers Index. The authors agree that as an index of perceptions and not an actual measure of corrupt activities, CPI is still a trusted and critical benchmark for allocating scarce prosecutorial, compliance and regulatory resources. Also presented is the Global Corruption Index (GCI) where New Zealand was ranked as the least corrupt country.
