The article examines the value and effectiveness of transvaginal hydrolaparoscopy (THL) as a surgical tool in exploring unexplained infertile women. A brief history of the procedure is provided with emphasis on an old procedure called culdoscopy. The concept of THL is discussed in relation to the results obtained from laparoscopy. The technique is described including several subsequent modifications. A comparison with laparoscopy is presented to validate the concept. Its feasibility and complications are explained along with findings on operative THL. |
