| Abstrakt: | The author of the reviewed book attempts to answer questions about friendship between sovereigns as a political category. Using the example of the Glogau succession war (1476-1482) which involved German principalities and Central European kingdoms in a complicated alliance system, the author analyzes friendship treaties and alliance networks. He is mainly interested in inherited alliances, and their results on practical politics, such as dynastic succession. |
