Abstrakt:	The article offers information on the annual meeting of the Entomological Society of America (ESA) which was held in Indianapolis, Indiana from December 13-16, 2009. The meeting discussed several topics including the use of compost and manure in fertilizing plants against Colorado potato beetles, the effect of Kaolin clay in repelling potato psyllid, and ways of monitoring thrips. The event also featured several notable people including Serena Gross, Tong-Xian Liu, and Wan-Tien Tsai.
