The article explores how young athlete Pooja Chaurushi is helping to promote triathlon in India. Chaurushi has already participated in several international triathlon events including the Amakusa International Triathlon Union (ITU) Triathlon Asian Cup in Japan and the Dextro Energy Triathlon ITU World Championship Grand Final in Australia. According to Chaurushi, because she is a woman, people were initially resistant with her participation in triathlon. But, her love for triathlon was eventually accepted and supported especially by her family. |
