| Abstrakt: |
The article presents the results of a dental research undertaken by Japanese researcher Michiko Nishimura and his colleagues for assessment of the caries activity test (Cariostat) based on the infection levels of mutans streptococci and lactobacilli in two to 13-year-old children's having dental plaque. Cariostat was designed to measure the acidity decrease caused by microorganisms obtained from maxillary bucal surfaces. It was concluded that Cariostat is reliable and predictive device. |
