Abstrakt: The article presents a study that aims to optimize correlated responses due to single trait selection in crossbred pigs. Records from 2,054 crossbred piglets of Hampshire and Indigenous breeds maintained at the All India Co-ordinated Research Projects were examined. It was found that the highest percent gain in body weight occurs when selection was based on eighth week age in halfbred inter se pigs.
