Abstrakt: The article focuses on a study conducted by the Marine Chemistry and Marine Ecology Programs of the Auke Bay Laboratories (ABL) on the developments in the body compositions and fatty acid (FA) profiles during embryogenesis in quillback rockfish. It emphasizes the difference beween the FA profiles of embryos and those of hatched larvae. The author states the potential use of metabolically significant FA in evaluating the condition of embryos and preparturition larvae.
