Abstrakt: The article presents a study which discusses the malignant Intraductal Papillary Mucinous Neoplasms (IPMN) on a population-based analysis. It notes that IPMN has been of particular interest to cancer prevention researchers on account of it as a distinct precursor lesions that can progress to pancreatic adenocarcinoma. The study states that pancreatic malignant IPMNs represent an uncommon pancreatic tumor subtype, distinctively characterized by early stage at presentation and better survival.
