Abstrakt: The author provides information on clams specifically those from the Block Island's Great Salt Pond off the coast of Rhode Island. He declares that clams are one of the finest foraged foods in the world. He also argues that few better places exist to collect clams than Block Island's Great Salt Pond, whose quahogs taste saltier because it is linked directly to the open ocean and has little fresh water flowing into it. He also narrates his experience of foraging for clams again at the Block Island's Great Salt Pond.
