The article focuses on the career of artist Samin Rabin, whose contribution to art, according to the author, finds its most characteristic expression in his depiction of the boxing match. It cites that the decorative quality of Rabin's own pictures of the boxing ring, his economy of means, the contrived balanced of space and his choice of angles of vision reflect the interests of the late 19th century French artists and of modern photographers. Rabin's talent won him a Corporation scholarship to Manchester School of Art in England. |
