Abstrakt: The article discusses the use of community drum circles (CDCs) as a tool to create and strengthen key foundational qualities of a community. A CDC pertains to a gathering of people sitting in a circle, who drum and play some kind of percussion instrument. It states that CDCs can be incorporated into nursing practice for the purpose of advancing goals that are directed towards the needs of the community such as facilitating emotional movement. It notes that CDCs are a platform for exploring personal roles and relationships within groups.
