Abstrakt: The article explores the impact of the decision of the U.S. Congress to approve a copyright legislation implementing the Berne Convention for the Protection of Literary and Artistic Works on museum professionals in the country. It describes how the Berne Convention protects copyrighted works of artists and authors in nations that signed the treaty. Information is presented on the conflict between the provisions of the Berne Convention and the U.S. copyright law.
