| Abstrakt: |
The article focuses on the effort of community colleges in providing training for skilled workers to allow them to meet the changing demands of industries. It discusses the Workforce Investment Act (WIA) which aims to help employees respond to the changing demands of industry. It also discusses the participation of community colleges in WIA. Problems encountered by community colleges in meeting the demands of WIA clients are tackled. The article also tackles the responses of some community colleges in their effort to participate in WIA efforts and to meet the community workforce needs. |
