The article recalls the workshop regarding violence in children, which was held during the 52nd Commonwealth Parliament Conference in Nigeria. Kashmala Tariq, Gordon Hogg and Meena Shivdas were the discussion leaders during the workshop. Delegates agreed that legislation alone could not defeat child abuse and abduction, instead legislative bodies should take social measures and enact penal provisions. The roles of Parliamentarians in solving child violence were also discussed during the event. |
