The article presents a study on the application of the Vineland Social Maturity Scale norm to nonretarded Wisconsin children with ages 0 to 3 years old. The Vineland is an age measurement in which details are orderly arranged according to the difficulty of age level, considered as an ideal instrument for measuring adaptive behavior. The study indicated that social ages of most children using original standard table were consistently higher than their chronological ages. |
