Abstrakt: The article examines the efficacy of galvanic skin response (GSR) orienting reflex in the measurement of normal and disordered tactile sensation and perception in nursery-school children, college students, and brain-injured adults. GSR method provides a potential approach for measuring somato-perceptual abilities in the younger, language deficient and severely retarded children and practically eradicates all of the cognitive requirements of conventional measurement procedures.
