This article describes the use of polypropylene, polyester and nylon capillary-channeled polymer (C-CP) fibers in reversed-phase separations. Particular attention is given to the separation of biomolecules including proteins, peptides and nucleic acids. A typical protein separation taking place on a standard format column is presented. It is envisioned that the C-CP fibers may hold promise in other areas of chemical separation. |
