| Abstrakt: |
The article describes a set of procedures developed in teaching a seven-year-old retardate to button a shirt. Through the use of differential reinforcement and successive approximation, these procedures comprise elements of operant conditioning. The apparatus used in the procedure is a specially designed prosthetic training aid. It was observed that, while the boy watched the movements of his finger with smaller buttons, he could button two larger buttons of the shirt without having to look at his fingers. |
