Abstrakt: laparoscopic removal of type-III sacrococcygeal teratoma. Case Report. Surgery done using 3D laparoscopy Entire procedure done by qualified and experienced team. 18 years unmarried girl with right side ischio-rectal fossa sacrococcygeal teratoma. Diagnostic laparoscopy + laparoscopic Excision of right side sacrococcygeal teratoma. A teratoma is a common germ cell tumor that is mainly composed of totipotent stem cells. Adult sacrococcygeal teratomas (SCT) are extremely rare, with an incidence of 1 in 40,000 to 1 in 63,000 patients and a female to male ratio of 3:1. Resection of benign SCT tumors results in a 5-year survival rate of approximately 100%. 18years unmarried girl come with complaints of swelling over right ischiorectal fossa, no other complaints with Regular menstrual cycle.Tumor markers (AFP, LDH, β-HCG) were within normal. O/E - swelling approximately 10 × 10 cm in size was present in right ischio-rectal fossa. MRI s/o - 10.6 × 6.5 × 7.4 cm well circumscribed lesion in ischiorectal -ischeoanal fossa, medial aspect abuts the right lateral surface of anal canal. Diagnostic laparoscopy was done with right side pararectal space dissection done keeping in mind "Fat Belongs to Rectum", by sticking to correct plane entire sacrococcygeal teratoma was excised, hemostasis achieved, procedure was uneventful.Post op patient was kept in ICU for monitoring for 2 hours. Post surgery period was uneventful and she was discharged on Post operative day 3. On follow up patient was comfortable laparoscopic Surgical excision of sacrococcygeal teratoma is the preferred definitive modality of treatment with quick & less co-morbidities.
