The article discusses several films that explore Polish history and the experiences of Polish individuals during World War II and the European migrant crisis. "Irena's Vow" tells the true story of Irena Gut, a Polish nurse who risked her life to save Jews during the war. "Late Bloomers" follows the story of a young musician who forms a bond with an elderly Polish woman while working as her caretaker. "We Were The Lucky Ones" is a historical drama miniseries that depicts the Holocaust from the perspective of the Kurc family. "Green Border" is a film directed by Agnieszka Holland that explores the European migrant crisis and the experiences of refugees at the Polish border.
