A recent study conducted by researchers at Sichuan University in China explored the impact of perceived age and deep-level dissimilarities with younger workers on older workers' knowledge sharing. The study found that generativity striving (GS) mediated the relationships between perceived age dissimilarity and older workers' tacit and explicit knowledge sharing with younger workers. Additionally, the study revealed that the negative impact of deep-level dissimilarity with younger workers on older workers' knowledge sharing was weaker when older workers received knowledge from younger workers. These findings suggest that perceived age and deep-level dissimilarities present both opportunities and challenges for older workers in sharing knowledge with younger workers.
