Abstrakt: The Quality Indicators for Assistive Technology (QIAT) have played a critical role in the development and delivery of effective services for children with disabilities for the past 25 years. The idea for quality indicators was grassroots in origin and began in the 1990s. It grew through the involvement of hundreds of assistive technology (AT) service providers across the country. QIAT provided a way for individuals, teams, and agencies to analyze and improve their AT services. A range of tools to support the understanding and use of the quality indicators has been developed.
