Abstrakt: A fifty-six-year-old female presented to the service in June 2021, complaining of the appearance of a large, dark mass that had been present for about 5 months. She also reported experiencing pain and weight loss. She has been a smoker since the age of 15 and is also an alcoholic. Upon clinical examination, an exophytic, lobulated, pigmented, and expansive nodule was observed. This nodule bled when touched and had a firm consistency. It affected the right hard and soft palate, crossed the midline, and extended to the upper attached gingiva on the same side. An incisional biopsy was performed. Microscopic findings and an immunohistochemical panel confirmed the diagnosis of oral melanoma. The patient was referred to the oncology and head and neck surgery departments and underwent a maxillectomy in August 2021. In November 2021, she began radiotherapy. In March 2022, osseous metastases were found in the left femur and pelvis, but radiotherapy was contraindicated by the surgeon. Unfortunately, in August 2022, the patient passed away..
