The article focuses on the analysis of discourses related to memory and the management of the past by political and social actors in the Spanish Monarchy during the Early Modern period. Topics explored include the instrumentalization of these discourses to shape reputation and honor, particularly among the monarchy's agents in Europe and overseas territories; the construction of narratives by various social groups, such as courtiers, diplomats, military officials, and religious orders. |
