Abstrakt: Captain Ralph S. Parr was a highly skilled fighter pilot during the Korean War, achieving the status of a double jet ace by shooting down five enemy aircraft. He engaged three MiGs in one mission, successfully damaging two of them. In another mission, he shot down a Soviet IL-12 transport plane, which caused controversy as the Soviets claimed it was a civilian airliner. His tenth kill, a Soviet MiG-15, occurred shortly before the armistice was scheduled to take effect. Captain Parr received numerous awards and decorations throughout his career and is highly respected by pilots from both sides of the conflict. [Extracted from the article]
