The author was a complete skeptic, but later became a believer regarding certain claims about a prominent chiropractic pioneer. When an acquaintance made what seemed like an outlandish claim about his grandfather, an investigation into the facts revealed that the gentleman in question was not only one of the foremost figures in the earliest days of the profession, but inexplicably, he had nearly fallen off the historical radar.
