This book offers an unapologetic perspective of both government work and nonprofit work, which is a fitting read for undergraduate students beginning their careers, or pre-service students earning a master's degree. Bonnie Stone's book, I Gimme Shelter: A Life of Public Service in New York City i , provides a practitioner's perspective of public service, primarily through the latter part of the 20 SP th sp century.
