Kentucky universities are using innovation and collaboration among our colleges of education with promising results that lean toward the reality that collaborating in a professional learning community across state universities is a partnership that is needed now more than ever. The collaborative effort among the university partners, with support of state education personnel promotes quality improvements across all settings to enhance principal preparation and mentoring programs. Improving programs for aspiring principals will in turn have a positive impact on schools across the state and student learning outcomes. The university principal preparation initiative (UPPI) is open to all state universities that offer principal preparation certification. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
