The article informs that sample collection methods for powdery mildew were evaluated in vineyards as part of a Wine Australia funded project. Erysiphe necator, an obligate parasite that causes grapevine powdery mildew, is one of the most widespread pathogens in Australian vineyards and worldwide. Intensive use of the fungicides used to control E. necator, has led to resistance in many countries including Australia. |
