The article presents narrative profile of ceramic artists including Tuba Korkmaz and Olgu Sümengen Berker and mentions how gender equality is a concept directly related to culture and social structure. Topics discussed include violence against women is legitimated and normalized in regular discourse, how Korkmaz references the extraordinary experiences of her personal life in her work, and how Berker experimented with innovative techniques, such as constructing her art with cotton waste. |
