In recent years as of 2001, several health care market trends could be observed such as the introduction of managed care organizations, disease management, evidence-based medicine and treatment guidelines, globalization of the health care market and brain drain of highly qualified health professionals. The implications of these market trends for health care include the inequalities in health care, problems with regard to quality of services and unwanted effects on the infrastructure, among others. |
