An interview with J. Harrison Ghee playing the role of Lola in the drag show "Kinky Boots" is presented. He talks about her theater studies, the drag issue and performances. Ghee says that he started theater performances after studying at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York City. He says that he was the understudy for Lola then got the starring role. She adds about difficulties in adjusting to different atmospheres and climates during the first tour of the drag show. |
