Abstrakt: Examines temporal associations between obstetrics/gynecology care, substance abuse treatment (SAT) and antiretroviral therapy during and after pregnancy among HIV-infected women on Medicaid. Common risks for pregnant women infected with human immunodeficiency virus or with acquired immune deficiency syndrome; Factors associated with SAT during pregnancy; Reasons for low rates of service use among pregnant women who have HIV/AIDS or substance abuse problems; Description of several models used to assess the relationship among pregnancy status, demographic and illness characteristics, obstetrics/gynecology care, and SAT.
