Abstrakt: The article discusses the study that determined the association of use of contemporary oral contraceptive (OC) preparations and by molecular subtype with breast cancer risk. Findings discussed include association of long-term use of contemporary OCs and current use of over five years with increased breast cancer risk among women aged 20 to 44, no statistically significant risk differences by OC preparation, and generally greater risk magnitude for women aged 20 to 39.
