Abstrakt:	The article presents poetry criticism of the book of poems "Romanzas de las rejas," by Carlota O'Neill. Topics discussed include an overview of the political background of O'Neill, the experiences of women concerning political repression under the rule of Spanish dictator Francisco Franco, and the imprisonment of women as a theme in the poems.
