The paper deals with the mutual relationships between voice and gesture in the Harry Partch's Delusion of the Fury and John Zorn's Astronome. From the philosophical standpoint it reveals the progressive evolvement of the vocal performance poetics towards a corporeality of voice in current staged intermedia.
