The article examines the evolving relationship between the U.S. and Turkey, an important North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) ally. It observes that the current record of U.S.-Turkey cooperation under the administration of U.S. President Barack Obama has been mixed. It also reviews bilateral and NATO defense cooperation, as well as the potential China-Turkey air and missile defense cooperation when Turkey selected in September 2013 Chinese government-owned CPMIEC for its defense project. |
