Equipment for determining the mobility of blast-furnace slag in furnace operation has been developed and tested. On the basis of research at the casting doors of the blast-furnace shop, the MgO and AlO content corresponding to high slag mobility is established. The dependence of the slag mobility on the hotmetal temperature, the basicity of the slag, and the MgO and AlO content in the slag is determined. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
